The hinterland region located between the Middle Dalmatian town of Sibenik and Split is an ideal venue for activities holiday. This region's virgin landscape offers a memorable experience to nature lovers who wish to explore a world of sparkling waterfalls, mountain rivers, streams and numerous canyons running through a dramatic karst terrain.
Cetina Region is 30 km away from Split and the beautiful Makarska Riviera. This is a region of Croatia known for its green environment dominated by the Cetina river with crystal clear water. Take a sporty, relaxing holiday on the most beautiful Dalmatian river, take a deep breath of fresh air, free your mind and activate your body. ONE WEEK ADVENTURE AND MULTY - ACTIVITY HOLIDAYS
CETINA RIVER VALLEY
Departures : from April to October . The nearest airport is Split
Day 1 Arrival
On arrival in Split and transfer to Trilj (about 40 minutes). Check in to the three-star Hotel Sveti Mihovil. Comfortable rooms are all equipped with air-conditioning, satellite TV, mini bar, direct dial phone, and private bathroom.
Day 2 CANOE- SAFARI
After breakfast, a late morning 15-minute transfer to the village of Han where the canoe-safari starts. Each canoe (for 6 to 10 people) with a guide will ride down the Cetina River for about 2 hours and a half. The ride is on the peacefully flowing, crystal-clear Cetina River and its tributaries, which wind through the green Sinjsko Polje (The field of Sinj). The ride accompanied by bird song makes this experience even more special, it is also good practice for rafting. The ride ends near the hotel. The rest of the day is free for strolling around Trilj and exploring on your own. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 3 Mountain Biking
The 40-kilometer track (medium difficulty degree) follows the river, leads to three natural wells and take us across the green hills of the Trilj region, touches the three eco-villages where the tour stops for a rest at family farms. After breakfast, checking the bikes and consultation with the
guide, the tour starts at 11 a.m. tasting home-made products (wine ,bread, ham and cheese), and learning about the process of honey production. The tour ends at the hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4 KAYAKING and CAMPING
After breakfast and checking the plan with the guide, transfer to the village of Čikotina Lađa on the Cetina River where the kayak tour (1-3 persons per canoe) through one of the most beautiful and undiscovered canyons in Europe starts. The breath-taking beauty of the canyon, impressive rocky crags with Mediterranean vegetation and cliffs as high as 100 metres will make this 4-hour ride en exciting and unforgettable feeling. (Those preferring bikes to kayaks might replace the kayak tour with a 1,5-hour bike ride to the camp of Blato na Cetini.). After a short rest, setting up the tents and lighting the camp fire followed by a dinner of grilled trout. Overnight in the tents. (Those preferring a hotel bed will be transported there for overnight). This is a truly memorable experience in accordance with nature - please leave your mobile phones at your hotel!
Day 5 RAFTING
After breakfast, clearing the camp and checking the plan with the guide. Transfer to the village of Penšići on the Cetina River, where the rafting tour starts. Each raft accommodates between 5-8 people. Rafting through a canyon whose mighty cliffs nestle the river rapids as it flows to the sea. The experience will be unforgettable and you will certainly fall in love with this beautiful river. The difficulty degree is 2-5. Rafting is followed by a short tour of the town of Omiš (where the Cetina River empties into the sea). Transfer back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 6 RIDING
After breakfast, at 11 a.m. transfer to the city of Sinj (10 kilometres). The city tour includes a tour of the Cetina-region museum, the church of Our Lady and the town fortress. Transfer to the stable Galop is followed by 2-hour riding (those who do not ride might take a riding-school lesson instead).
Return to the hotel in the afternoon. There is a possibility of an evening trip to the coastal cities of Split or Makarska. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 CANYONING *
After breakfast at 10 a.m. transfer to the village of Zadvarje where an unforgettable experience in the 200-metre deep Cetina canyon starts. Numerous waterfalls and lakes, subterranean tunnels and the unique Gubavica Falls (38 m) make this encounter with an untouched natural environment complete. Three-four hours of trekking, descents, walking through tunnels and swimming will make this experience memorable.
The rest of the afternoon is free. Farewell dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 –
Breakfast . Transfer to Split airport

BIKING TOUR OF DALMATIAN HINTERLAND DISCOVER ONE OF THE MOST DRAMATIC SCENIC REGION OF EUROPE
Main features of this karst region are under ground caves and streams. The rivers of Zrmanja, Krka and Cetina, with crystal clean water flow through magnificent canyons and water falls. Trails of 30-55 km long pass through unique natural eco environment of the valley of river Cetina, green hills of Trilj and clearings of the mountains Kamešnica and Mosor and number of villages Hotel Sv. Mihovil has 50 high quality mountain bikes, equipment and experienced guides – cyclists and complete infrastructure for organization of such tours (mini vans etc.)
Day 1 – Arrival / Split - Trilj
Afternoon arrival to Split and transfer to Trilj (about 40 minutes). Check into the three star Hotel Sveti Mihovil.. All comfortable rooms are outfitted with air-conditioner, satellite TV, mini bar, direct phone line and private bathroom.
Day 2 – Cetina country side > 50 km
The trail which starts through the green pastures in Cetina river valley in Trilj right in front of Hotel Sv.Mihovil is continued with a 3,5 km ride to a distant mouth of river Grab and the settlement Grab with famous Grab mills which are still producing homemade flour using the 600 years old technology. Mills’ sightseeing, a short break and refreshments with homemade doughnuts at host Iko’s, the miller. Ride continues to the trenches’ origins and then to the impressive spring Rude. After refreshments in village Han, we continue our ride through Glavice to the center of the Alka town Sinj, where at square we have refreshments and visit the Church and the monastery of Sinjska Gospa (Sinj Madonna). Afterwards, we have a short ride and visit Alka’s (tilting at the ring) horse-stable. After five kilometers, we come to river Cetina and as we continue our ride, we will be followed by a quiet river which slowly spirals through the field, surrounded by tall willows, poplars, with nearby mountain tops all the way to Trilj. Return to Hotel. Free time for resting or visiting Trilj.
Day 3 – Mountain Kamešnica tour > 40 km
Start with a hotel bus in front of hotel Sv.Mihovil. Ride to 18 km distant mountain village Voštane. Clearings of the mountain Kamešnica are not as green as the hills around Trilj, but the ride through rarely populated authentic mountain villages and pastures will provide an almost mystic atmosphere. Rest and refreshments in a village household. Village inhabitants will gladly greet you and assist you in any way necessary. Visit to goat and sheep farm, tasting prosciutto in Pršutana at 1000 m altitude and refreshments in autochthons mountain village are included. Descent follows from the mountain through Rož to the Spring Rude then Grabskih mlinica (mills) 600 years old water-mills. The trip continues along Trilj hills all the way to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 4 – Green hills of Trilj > 35 km
Start in front of hotel using the marked international hill and biking trail, where professional bike races are traditionally held. The trail is adjusted for tourist groups. Let yourself go and ride through the green hills and vineyards, discovering simple and natural way of life of the locals. Visit to small village households which still produce food the natural way. Refreshments from domestic prosciutto, cheese and bread under the bell in village household in village Bravići. After visiting horse-stable with 20 horses where young Cetina men train to be the future tilters at the ring, we ride to the top of the hill Gardun and archeological site Tilurij – Military camp of VII Roman Legion. We slowly descend to the suspension bridge in Trilj, which we cross and arrive to Hotel Sv. Mihovil. Dinner and overnight in the Hotel.
Day 5 – Cetina gorge > 40 km
Start in front of Hotel Sv.Mihovil on a green valley trail full with vineyards all the way to Strmendoc, then across the hill to ethno village Klarići. Following is a 10 km easy ride and a short descend to Cetina gorge, crossing over a wooden bridge. For those more experienced, there is ascending towards the cave Vranjača. After ascend to the cave, we ride for 10 km on a road under mountain Mosor through autochthonous stone villages. This area is a stone monument which nature and locals shaped in its unique beauty and local architecture. After refreshments and cave sightseeing, we continue towards Trilj, where we cross a suspension bridge and continue to hotel.Return to Hotel. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.
Day 6 – From the spring trough Cetina valley > 51 km
We take the hotel bus to the trail which begins at impressive spring of Rijeka, located 48 km from Trilj. The ride starts from the spring and continues on a beautiful Vrlika field along old Croatian church of sv. Spas (St. Savior), down macadam along Lake Peruča. The ride continues along the river through Hrvatačko polje (field) where refreshments are organized at a village household. Ride to town of Sinj with an organized visit to the Museum and monastery of Sinj Madonna, horse-stable of the tilters at the ring and return to Trilj. Return to Hotel. Free time for trip to Split or Sinj. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 7 - Free day / Trip to Split and Trogir ( UNESCO protected)
Free day for visiting Split and Trogir, towns under UNESCO protectorate located 30 km from Hotel Sv. Mihovil. Or one program as per group’s choice: rafting, canyoning, canoe safari, horse back riding, trekking.
Day 8 – Departure / Trilj - Split
After breakfast, departure transfer to Split Airport.

With increased competition in air travel, airlines more and more, rely on ‘fluid’ pricing to fill in their seats. So much so, that in many instances it is impossible to predict the cost of flights from one month to another. This situation affects equally scheduled and charter flights. For this reason we have decided not to include flights in our holidays, enabling our customers to take full advantage of any bargain air fares they may purchase and add to our ground arrangements.
